Free Resident Wood Chip Pile

As a courtesy service to Glen Ellyn residents, the Village’s Forestry Division routinely stocks a pile of woodchips for residents to utilize.  The chips are generated from our tree care operations, either tree removals or tree pruning.  The woodchip pile is self-service so residents are encouraged to bring containers and tools needed to load chips into their vehicle. Wood chips and any logs set out are available on a first-come, first served basis. 

The Wood Chip pile is located on the south side of Wilson Ave, just South of the Public Works facility (30 S Lambert Rd).  Please see the map below for the location.
