Village Links of Glen Ellyn

The Village Links of Glen Ellyn offers 27 holes of championship golf, which has hosted more than 35 PGA Tour and USGA qualifyings.  It also has extensive practice facilities, with a free chipping and putting area.  Reserve 22 boasts casual dining, banquets and weekend live entertainment.  The restaurant’s 134-seat patio boasts the most serene, scenic view in all DuPage County, with two fire pits, a covered outdoor bar and flat screen televisions — quite the popular spot in summer months.

Glen Ellyn Park District

The Glen Ellyn Park District’s 29 parks are meticulously maintained for the community’s use in both unstructured recreation and for programmed events such as Youth Soccer and Softball. The district operates one outdoor aquatic facility, four recreation buildings, 23 multipurpose parks and playgrounds and two lakes, including Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center and the Lake Ellyn Boathouse.

Willowbrook Wildlife Center

Nature lovers will enjoy Willowbrook Wildlife Center with over 80 native Illinois animals and open to the public seven days a week.  The Center is the only publicly funded wildlife rehabilitation facility in DuPage County and one of the few in northeastern Illinois equipped to treat native and migratory birds. The center treats more than 9,000 birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians every year.

Illinois Prairie Path

Hikers, bikers and joggers can hop onto the Illinois Prairie Path in downtown Glen Ellyn.  The Prairie Path offers a bike repair station, located at Prairie Path Park, just east of Forest Avenue in downtown.  As the only bike repair station along the Prairie Path, it is available for public use and contains tools for bike issues and an air pump.
