Responsible for the hiring, promoting and disciplining of police officers.

Provide a hearing body for appeals from administrative decisions of the Building and Zoning Official and to advise the Village Board regarding amendments to the National Building Code.

Capital Improvements Commission
Study and develop plans for the capital improvements necessary to provide municipal services to the citizens of the Village.

Study and reviews strategies to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the Village.

Provide advisory recommendations to the Village Board on financial matters that have a long-term focus.

Historic Preservation Commission
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Village Board on proposed landmark applications and potential historic districts.

Plan Commission
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Village Board on proposed applications for residential and commercial development projects.

Police Pension Board
Administer the Police Pension Fund.

Recreation Commission
Advise the Village Board on matters relating to the Village Links, Reserve 22 and all recreation areas owned by the Village.

Zoning Board of Appeals
Reviews and makes recommendations to the Village Board on 1 and 2 family home variation requests.
