The Village of Glen Ellyn’s Department of Public Works handles the purchase, design, construction and maintenance of all Village-owned infrastructure, equipment, vehicles and related assets. This includes the drinking water distribution system, sanitary sewage and stormwater collection systems, streets, traffic signals, street lighting, Central Business District (CBD) landscaping and parking lots, parkway trees, and the Village’s vehicle fleet. The Public Works Director also oversees the daily operations of the Glenbard Wastewater Authority, which is jointly owned and operated by the Villages of Glen Ellyn and Lombard.
