DUCOMM

DuPage Public Safety Communications, or DUCOMM, is a central communication organization comprising municipal police departments, municipal fire departments and independent fire districts in DuPage County.  The Village of Glen Ellyn has been a member of DUCOMM since its formation in 1975.  DUCOMM receives all Glen Ellyn 9-1-1 calls, and dispatches the Village’s officers, paramedics and Volunteer Fire Company members. DUCOMM serves 27 agencies covering more than 700,000 residents in DuPage County. In 2007, DUCOMM handled 41,477 Glen Ellyn police dispatches, which included calls for service and administrative duties, a 1.96% decrease over 2006. 

 
DuPage County Crime Stoppers

DuPage County Crime Stoppers was formed in March of 1991, covering about 33 DuPage County communities.  DuPage County Crime Stoppers is a registered not-for-profit organization composed of DuPage County residents whose main objective is to fight crime.
