The Village of Glen Ellyn requires a 30-day waiting period prior to demolition. During this 30-day period, the Planning and Development Department, the Public Works Department and any other applicable agencies review all paperwork and supporting documents for the proposed demolition. If the demolition application is approved, the Planning and Development Department will determine any necessary fees and contact the applicant when the permit is ready to be issued. The Department will also perform random inspections throughout the demolition process to ensure the safety of Village residents and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
