Electronics Recycling

Beginning in January 2012, it is illegal to dispose of closed electronic devices with regular household waste. In order to alleviate the burden this law imposes on residents, the Village will hold periodic residential electronics collections.

Items Not Being Accepted at this year's event:

  • Prescription Drugs
  • Hazardous Wastes (oil, paint, chemicals, pesticides, etc.)
  • Stereo speakers in wooden cabinets
  • Household light bulbs (incandescent, flourescent, etc.)
  • Mercury Thermometers
  • Plastic Hangers
  • Medical Equipment/Supplies (wheelchairs, crutches, etc.)

The following items are accepted at Village electronic events:

  • Batteries (NiMH, NiCd, Li, Li Ion, Lithium Coin and Sealed Lead Acid)
