The Village of Glen Ellyn’s Real Estate Transfer Stamps are $3 for each $1,000 of property sales price and must be paid by the home seller. To obtain a transfer stamp to record deeds or real estate trust documents, please complete the Real Estate Transfer Stamp Application below and schedule a Clearwater inspection and final water reading. Please contact the Public Works Department at 630-469-6756 to schedule the Clearwater Inspection and the Cashier's Office to schedule a final water reading at 630-547-5235. You may also be eligible for a refund of the Real Estate Transfer Tax. The eligibility criteria are listed on the Real Estate Transfer Stamp Refund Application below.
