Earlier this year, the Village Board approved building code updates. These changes can be found below and include adoption of the 2018 ICC Codes as well as local amendments.
Anyone seeking to submit a permit application for new single-family homes, townhomes, non-residential, additions, remodels, renovations or related work should be aware that plans must be submitted prior to Monday, January 16, 2023, in order to be considered under the existing building code regulations (e.g. 2009). Applications submitted on or after Monday, January 16, 2023, must comply with the new regulations. This applies to both residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and other types of projects.
